As I wake this morning, I can’t help but look for those dedicated to him. The challenge is, so much of that I see, the world and finances are controlling what time people have available because of prosperity preachers. So much, It disturbs me !! The value system for Jesus has been tailored by part-time men who didn’t hold the line! The houses of worship have pretty much validated this way of life
No urgency, no discipleship, and what little exists, is wrapped up in so much control it isn’t free! I am very disappointed to see the disregard for the Great Commission to this degree~! Our Storehouses should have been hardware stores for the workers, many have become picture windows with the curtains closed except on Sunday!
When Jesus entered our world, he didn’t box himself inside the four walls of the temple. He walked into the everyday lives of sinners. He touched the lepers. He associated with prostitutes. He dined with the worst. He scandalized the religious community by penetrating the world.
This is not the life of Jesus! How can we say this is him! We need to do more! He is coming soon!
Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? Matthew 16:24-26
